Sazcılar A.Ş., a leading manufacturer of composite parts for the automotive industry, has selected BIOS as its turnkey partner to relocate its robot cell from the Bursa facility to its Sakarya production site and expand its capacity.
Project Background
To improve process efficiency and expand line capacity, Sazcılar A.Ş. decided to relocate the robot cell at its Bursa facility to its Sakarya site. BIOS was chosen as the project partner, delivering end-to-end services in industrial relocation, robot cell decommissioning and reinstallation, and full commissioning.
Project Scope
The works carried out by the BIOS engineering team covered the following stages:
• Decommissioning of the existing robot cell at the Bursa facility
• Transport of cell equipment to the Sakarya site
• Reinstallation and assembly of the cell at the new location
• Integration of two additional fixtures alongside the existing two
• Automation revisions and commissioning
Result and Capacity Expansion
The robot cell, which previously operated with two fixtures, now runs with four following the integration of two additional fixtures by BIOS. The cell is now capable of producing four different composite parts simultaneously.
The relocation and capacity expansion were completed on a planned schedule that maintained production continuity. Production efficiency at Sazcılar A.Ş.'s Sakarya facility has increased significantly as a result.
